Ink & Claws performs conch piercings at our studio in Mohammed Wadi, a short drive from NIBM Road in South Pune. The conch passes through the cupped bowl of cartilage in the middle of the ear.
It is a genuine statement placement. An inner conch suits a flat-back stud, while an outer conch can carry a larger hoop that frames the ear beautifully once healed.
Conch cartilage is thicker than the helix, so we take extra care with angle and jewellery length to allow for swelling. Healing usually runs three to six months.
